1. Acceptance

The Service is owned and operated by Janara Nguon, operating Survive Backpacking and as part of the ARSITECH.IO sovereign infrastructure ecosystem ("we", "our"). By accessing the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Nature of the Service

Survive Backpacking is an educational media platform and operator storefront, not a licensed financial, legal, medical, or survival guide certification body.

• Field Logs reflect personal experience, field experiments, and operator notes, not certified professional advice.
• Store products include digital downloads, affiliate gear picks, and print-on-demand merchandise.
• You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on content on this site.

3. Accounts and Authorized Use

• Most visitors browse without an account. Email subscription is voluntary.
• Field Console publishing requires an authorized operator token, unauthorized access attempts are prohibited.
• You may not scrape, reverse engineer, bulk-download, or use automated tools to extract content without written permission.
• You may not use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harassing purposes.

4. Purchases and Payments

• Store checkout is processed by Stripe. Prices are displayed at purchase time in the currency shown.
• Digital products are delivered via secure download links or email after payment confirmation.
• Physical merch is fulfilled by print-on-demand partners; shipping times vary by region.
• All sales are final unless required otherwise by applicable Quebec consumer protection law.
• Refunds for defective physical goods may be requested within 30 days by contacting legal@survivebackpacking.com.

5. Affiliate and Sponsor Content

Some store links and blog references are affiliate links. If you purchase through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend tools and gear we use or have field-tested. Sponsored placements, if any, will be clearly identified.

6. Intellectual Property

• All site content, text, design, logos, Field Logs, store catalog structure, and agentic infrastructure, is owned by Janara Nguon / ARSITECH.IO or used under license.
• You may share links to our content and quote brief excerpts with attribution.
• You may not republish full articles, scrape the catalog, or resell our digital products without permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Quebec law, Janara Nguon, Survive Backpacking, and ARSITECH.IO shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including financial loss, injury during outdoor activities, or reliance on blog content. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or CAD $100 if no purchase was made.

8. Privacy (Law 25)

Your personal information is processed according to our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to data processing on secure cloud infrastructure, potentially outside Quebec, as described therein.

9. Termination

We may suspend or restrict access to the Service without notice if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that harms the platform or other users.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Québec, Quebec City, Canada.
