A tarp in the rain, field test

Three hours of rain

I pitched the tarp beside a trail, solo, wind in my face. The field test is simple: if a seam drinks water, the gear goes home.

The ridgeline held. The low corner made a puddle. One stake pulled on the second squall. I retensioned the line, moved the corner, and the sleeping bag stayed dry in its sack.

What I would redo: tension the line before the fly, and keep ten minutes of margin before dark.
